احد اقدم البنوك فى مصر والذي تم انشائة فى 25 يونيو 1898 م براس مال مليون جنية استرليني وقد تطور البنك مع تطور مسيرتة وكذلك اعمالة وفق للتغيرات الاقتصادية في مصر والعالم .

يهدف البنك الاهلي بصفته من اقدم البنوك العامة المصري الى تنمية الاقتصاد القومي بصورة مباشره

وقد انشأ البنك اكثر من 30 شركة تبده كلها مصر مثل مصر للطيران – مصر للتامينات – مصر للغزل والنسيج – مصر للاسمدة وغيرها من الشركات التى اسسها بنك مصر

بنك الاسكندرية

من احد البنوك الوطنية فى مصر والتى تم تاميمها فى عهد الرئيس جمال عبد الناصر , اسس عام 1957 كشركة مساهمه مصرية

( خصخصته ) تم خصخصة النبك ببيع 80 % من اسهمه لمجموعة سان باولو الايطالية عام 2006 فى اكتوبر

يعمل حاليا تحت لواء مؤسسة عالمية وهي مجموعة سان باولو انتيزا والتى تعد من اكبر المجموعات المالية فى ايطاليا والثالثه بين بنوك اليورو

يمتلك بنك الاسكندريه فروع محلية تصل الى 171 فرع وحوالي 1.5 مليون عميل

بنك القاهرة

احد البنزك المصرية الذي يقع مقرة الرئيسي فى القاهره وله اكث من 124 فرع فى الجمهورية كما ان له فروع فى ابو ظبي وبدي والشارقة وراس الخيمة فى الامارات العربية المتحدة كما له فروع فى المنامه فى البحرين ومكاتب تمثيل فى كييف واكرانيا وهراري و زيمبابوي بالاضافه الي مكاتب فى السعودية واوغندا

ومن بين اهم الفروع للبنك فرع السويس للصلب ويملك 78% من اسهمها وله حصص فى اير كايرو و كذلك البنك المصري المتحد فى اوعندا ورغم ملكية البنك للحكومه الا انه يعتبر من البنوك الخاصة .

البنك الوطني للتنمية

احد البنوك فى مصر والذي اسس فى عام 1980 والذي تم تاسيسه كبنك تجاري براس مال خمسين مليون جنيه مصري والذي يهدف الى القيام بعمليات التنمية الاقتصادية فى مصر

من خلال تمويل مشروعات التنمية الاقتصادية المختلفة والمساهمه فيها وقد تم زيادة راس المال من 500 جنيه وراس المال المدفوع الى 281.9 ميلون جنيه

البنك الأهلي اليوناني

رئيس مجلس الإدارة – بعرض الفكرة على كثير من الشخصيات والمسئولين المصريين، حيث لاقت الفكرة ترحيباً واسعاً على المستويين الشعبى والرسمى، وتمت الموافقة على تأسيس البنك بالقانون الخاص رقم 48 لسنة 1977 الذى أقره مجلس الشعب المصرى في حينه – كمؤسسة إقتصادية واجتماعية تأخذ شكل شركة مساهمة مصرية وتعمل وفقاً لأحكام الشريعة الإسلامية، وبناء على القانون رقم 142 لسنة 1981 تم تعديل نظام الإنشاء ثم تعدل مرة ثانية بالقانون رقم 97 لسنة 1996م. وقد لاقت أسهم البنك إقبالاً كبيراً حيث تجاوزت المبالغ المكتتب فيها عند التأسيس خمسة أمثال الأسهم المطروحة للاكتتاب، لذا تم تعديل رأس المال أكثر من مرة حتى وصل الآن إلى 500 مليون دولاركرأس مال مرخص به مقابل 198 مليون دولار كرأسمال مصدر ومدفوع بالكامل، كما يدير البنك أكثر من سبعمائة ألف حساب للعملاء ، وتصل أصول وموجودات البنك إلى مايزيد على ثلاثة مليارات دولار أمريكى..
