فى خلال المبارة التى اجراها المنتخب المصري لكرة اليد والتى كانت مبارة صعبة استطاع المنتخب المصري لكرة اليد السيطرة على خصمة السلوفيني
الا انة استقبل هدفين في الثواني الاخيرة.
ليفرط فى انتصار كان سيضمن لة صدارة المجموعه الا انه تعادل ليصعد الى ربع النهائي .

وتاهل بذلك الفراعنة الى ربع نهائي المونديال ,
بينما ظلت صدارة المجموعه فى المتناول فاذا تعادل او خسر المنتخب السويدي امام روسيا يتصدر المنتخب المصري لكرة اليد المجموعه.
فى حالة اذا تصدر المنتخب المصري المركز الاول , سيواجه بذلك المتخب الكورواتي او الارجنتيني او قطر .
اما فى حال احتلالة المركز الثاني اذا احتل السويد المركز الاول سيواجة بذلك منتخب الدنيمارك احد اقوي منتخبات البطولة.

وقد نجح منتحب مصر لكرة اليد فى حسم بطاقة التأهل للدور الرئيسي من النسخة 27 لبطولة كأس العالم لكرة اليد المقامة فى مصر 2021.
وذلك بعدما تأهل برفقة منتخب السويد إلى دور الثمانية عن المجموعة الرابعة، وكما تأهل منتخبى فرنسا والنرويج من المجموعة الثالثة،
و سبقهم إلى هذا الدور كلا من المجر وأسبانيا والدنمارك.
وتأهل المنتخب المصري لكرة اليد إلى دور الثمانية بمونديال اليد، كثاني المجموعة الرابعة بعد تعادله مع سلوفينيا في مباراة مثيرة بنتيجة 25-25
وفوز منتخب السويد على الاتحاد الروسي لكرة اليد بنتيجة 34-20، ليضع المنتخب الوطنى فى صدام مع منتخب الدنمارك لكرة اليد بدور الثمانية.
وينتظر منتخب السويد كلا من الأرجنتين وقطر وكرواتيا، لملاقاة أحدهم فى دور الثمانية.

وستقام مباراة منتخب مصر مع الدنمارك يوم الأربعاء المقبل الموافق 27 يناير المقبل على صالة استاد القاهرة الرياضي، فى تمام الساعة السادسة والنصف مساءً،
بينما يلتقى منتخب السويد مع آى من “الأرجنتين أو قطر أو كرواتيا” الساعة 9:30 على صالة ستاد القاهرة.
